As a financial institution you have entrusted us with sensitive financial information, we respect the privacy of our customers and are committed to treat it responsibly. The Privacy Principles of Customer Information serve as policy for all employees of SolCoop when we collect, use, retain and safeguard individual customer information.
Recognition of Expectation of Privacy:
In SolCoop we firmly believe in the confidentiality and protection of our customers’ information and recognize it as one of our fundamental responsibilities. Although the information is crucial to providing quality service, we recognize our customers’ trust as one of our most precious assets and also recognize their right to expect that information be kept private and secure. SolCoop will maintain strict confidentiality standards for safeguarding your information and ensure that it stays private and protected at all times.
Restrictions on the Disclosure of Financial Information:
SolCoop does not share with outside institutions parties, our customers private information, unless (1) you request or authorize it; (2) the information is provided to help complete a transaction initiated by you; (3) the information is provided to a reputable credit agency; or (4) the disclosure is permitted or pursuant to a law (subpoena, fraud investigations, is required by regulators of the Institution, legal counsel, etc.). As an exception, and as permitted by law, we may provide information to companies that provide a product or service that is of benefit to our customers. When on occasion we decide to share that information, it will only be that necessary to achieve the above stated purposes. In addition, we will require those companies, under contract, to maintain the information strictly confidential and limit its use solely to the purposes for which it was provided.
We will not use or share-internally or externally-personally identifiable medical information for any other purpose than the claim of the policy of a customer, as informed the customer upon obtaining the information.
Similarly, SolCoop will not provide personal or account information to other entities for the purpose of independent telemarketing or direct mail marketing of non-financial products or services offered by them.
Internet Security Measures:
In Sol Coop We are also committed to protecting your confidential information on the Internet. A comprehensive Cyber Security Policy has been created and will strictly enforced in order to prevent unauthorized access to confidential information by employees and third parties. Besides the aforementioned policy, SolCoop has implemented the following security measures and procedures;
- Our Internet network is equipped with the latest operating and maintenance systems in the market. The functions of these systems include, but are not limited to, intrusion detection, software patches and updates, network monitoring, account monitoring, maintenance, and tracking, among others.
- Access by employees and third parties to your Personal Information is restricted to authorized personnel of SolCoop. All unauthorized access of information by our employees is subject to disciplinary action.
- Access to the all internet related equipment, is also restricted to authorized personnel.
SolCoop has established procedures to ensure that your financial information is accurate, current and complete, according to industry standards. If you understand that our records contain inaccurate or uncertain information, please notify it immediately. You concern will be investigated and any inaccuracies will be corrected as quickly as possible.
